Julia Rooney is the face of Rooney Creative Solutions (RCS). She is an experienced live event producer and communications specialist in her native Calgary. Julia brings a boundless passion and fervour to her work creating detail-oriented events and comprehensive communications solutions that complement, enhance and elevate her client's brand.
Julia has extensive experience working with prominent industry leaders including Lynn Fletcher Weddings, POP Kollaborative, and Brand Alive. You are what you eat, and Julia has an appetite for working on projects that bring out her passion for creating unique experiences whether working independently or working hand in hand with your team. Julia was also a leader at TELUS Spark (the Science Centre) managing event sales and mentoring a team that created memorable experiences that her clients will remember for a lifetime.
​Julia’s face is well acknowledged and celebrated within the International Live Events Association (ILEA) community where she served on the board of the Calgary chapter for nine years, including the role of President. She is no stranger to leaning into her volunteer work, she served on the Lean In Calgary board for two years as the Co-Lead, Events and she served as Governance and Finance with ILEA Canada for one year.
When not working or volunteering Julia is planning her next adventure, travelling, enjoying a glass of red wine and watching the Toronto Blue Jays. Little known fact: Julia spent three years living overseas in South Korea where she had the opportunity to immerse herself in Asian culture and traditions that deeply impacted her life for the better. She credits a lot of her creativity, problem solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking to those three years.
